Yay for good news!

Just because I think it's mean to tell people about something bad that happend once then leave them in the dark ever after I have an update about my previous post!

So anyway, it turns out that the Gene was pretty much just having a "bad day" and the doctor got nervous about his condition, which in turn, made everyone else nervous about it. So even though he's still in bad shape he's doing better.

Thank you to all of you who were praying for him. ^_^

Illnesses

Well I got a call from my mom who is at the hospital with her friend (Gene) who really needs prayer. In his current condition people have said he has anywhere from a day to 3 or 4 days to live. So please pray for him and also his brother who isn't going to beable to come up from Texas/Louisiana untill Monday, maybe Teusday.

You know, as glad as I am to have such an amazingly complex body it certainly has a lot of responsibility that comes with it and if you neglect it there is so much that can go wrong. From a simple Cold to Cardiac Failure to Bone Marrow problems. Even if you do take proper care of your body those problems can still show their ugly faces.

Ah well, at least there's a place to look forward to when we die, from old age, from sickness, or even from the point of a gun. We can all look forward to a perfect life without any of that where we'll live forever in the glory of our Lord.

Patience

Patience has its limits. Take it too far, and it's cowardice.

Ah, the power of Google.... I saw this quote on my "Personalized Home Page" in a Quote of the Day "widget" (or something like one) and I thought it was just so.... thought provoking? that I would post it.

The internet is awesome.

It's truely amazing what you can do with the internet. First off just last night (never slept to do this o.o) I was able to host my own Ragnarok Online server! Took me FOREVER to figure out how to get everyone setup properly, and you know? It's the simplist things that can cause the largest problems.

See I was using my friend (Ryan, to whom I'm eternally grateful for putting up with every one of my tweaks o.o) as a lab rat to see if the outside world could connect to my server. Well basicly what I had to do was run an RO exe with settings to mysever instead of the normal server. Not hard, I knew exactly how to do it all since I'd had to do the same thing (almost) for my bot. The only thing was the file I sent Ryan was setup to connect to his local computer not my WAN address.

It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take me a good 5 hours to find that out!
Oh and if anyone who has RO wants to check out my server (still under construction) just email me @ Pakattack161@gmail.com and I'll be happy to send you the file needed and walk you through the steps. =3

ANYWAY! That's the first great thing about the internet, that I, my little lonesome little 15 year old, can host and entire RO server from my computer.

The Second cool thing about the internet is WiFi; specificaly Nintendo WiFi. You see, just today I used one of my two $25 Best Buy Giftcards (and some random other cash) on Mario Kart: DS. It's amazing how it can connect to anybody, anywhere in the world right through my same old internet connection that can host RO, and it can do it so simply (for somoene that knows their way around a router) that it almost doesnt' seem real.

The only challenge I had with this was converting my WiFi connect to my bro's computer from WPA to WEP (since the DS can only connect to a WEP Encrypted router). That was somewhat tricky but I got it done in about a half hour and I doubt he'll notice it for a long time so it's pretty sweet!

Now I can bring teh ownage in my bed before I go to sleep ^____^

Merry New Year!

Woohoo. A brand new year! I'm not quite sure what makes this particular day the day for the new year. After all the Chinese have their new year on a completely different day later in the year. But however today was marked as the new year it's now 2006. 2006! How the heck did 15 and a half-ish years go by since I was born, I mean 1999 seems like it was yesterday (And I'm only 15 ½ O_o). Well anyway, here's my one New Year's Resolution:

To break a New Years Resolution.

That'll be hard to do.....

Anyway, may this new year bring new possiblities into your life and may we all grow just a little bit older and wiser. Jaa Ne!

P.S. The Game of Life is fun ^_^

That's quite an unusual paradox -- sort of like you promise to break all promises, but it doesn't quite work out that way.

Brian's example is better than mine -shrug-.

Oh, and Happy New Year to you, too!
