I have a rant....

Recently Preston commented on the post before the last one. He said "Wow. What a pointless post." (don't ask why I deleted it if I'm talking to you about it now, I mean that.) You may ask why it matters, other than the fact most of my posts would fall under his so called category of "Pointless". What makes that post so pointless? Is it because he didn't witness it? Because he doesn't like bird crap? He doesn't find the humor in it? I don't know.

All I have to say to that is, because it is about one of my friends it automaticly because one of the best posts on my blog. Unless I posted something degrading about one of my friends, or anyone really, then it can be called pointless. So please, don't comment like that, it does nothing but show that you really don't like my blog, and if that is the case I would ask you to please stop reading. What is the point of reading or doing something you don't like? (Mind you there are times you should not quote me on that.....)

Sorry about that. I think your blog is great and I take back that last comment that you deleted.

First impressions always blind even the wisest.

but that was my second impression.... thank you though, but please be considerate of other's blogs.

I never said that, but if you know how I blog that kind of post isn't rare, I'm not looking for praise on everything but I don't want people saying "Wow. What a pointless post."

Your rule also applys to the reader, if they don't like a post, ignore it.

ditto. There are a lot of people who see fit to give their opinions on everything that the see or read that they don't like or that they really like. While it is true that one shouldn't post rude comments, criticism should be dealt with. By the way... who said there had to be a point in blogs?

Anyhoo... be nice to Pat.

O_o!

"Further, the Federal Communications Commission has mandated that networks cease all analog broadcasts by the end of 2008, according to legislature. "A much-discussed proposal in the House of Representatives would set December 31, 2008 as the cut-off date. This date seems to have support throughout the Congress -- Senate Commerce Committee Chair Ted Stevens is expected to soon introduce legislation that also sets this cut off date," says the CEA's Joseph. "When analog broadcasts end, traditional analog sets will not be able to receive the new digital over-the-air signals.""

One word, extortion. Basicly the HD people paid the House and the Senate huges semi's full of solid gold bars so they'd do that. Fortunately..... It'll be about time to launch a new console for the three companies (though if we go by trend Nintendo will launch in 2009 and the other two will launch in 2011). But still, what if people don't have the money for digital sets and REALLY want to watch TV or something? That's just stupid. Maybe there is more reasoning behind the decision, but if the TV stations want to broadcast in analog they should be alowed to.

See? Zelda > all

http://cube.ign.com/articles/624/624200p1.html

"Still, the quality of the games will always come first and Nintendo is famous for its powerhouse franchises. "I don't care if it's in high-definition or not -- I'm going to play Zelda on Revolution," says Denis Dyack, president of Silicon Knights, a former Nintendo second party underway with the Too Human trilogy for Xbox 360."

I must say he is absolutly right. Zelda rocked as an 6-bit game (still does) and it's going to keep on rocking whether or not it looks as good as that football game the X-Box 360 has. Even better, the President for a rival second party devloper is saying that.

Sony + Desperate = Porn on the PSP

http://www.wired.com/news/games/0,2101,67759,00.html

I hope that link works. Sony is releasing porn on the PSP. They're trying to use it to boost the popularity of their UMD disks, and their whole console line.

For the PSP:
"Two Japanese publishers of adult DVD video have announced plans to release a selection of their top titles on Sony's Universal Media Disc, or UMD, format, which is currently supported exclusively by the PSP, next month. These aren't shady gray-market items: The eight video discs will be officially licensed by Sony and carry the PSP logo on the package.

Don't laugh. If Sony truly wants UMD to become the standard in portable media storage, adult videos could be a big help."

What the heck? This proves that Sony is so desperate that they'll turn to the help of porn when they can't make it on their own like Nintendo and Microsoft. Sure the porn thing for the PS2 happend on it's own but the fact they're Licensing adult video's for the PSP shows they're desperate. Later on in the article they talk about the PS2:

"The DVD format benefited from porn, too -- this time because of the ability to skip scenes, jumping past all the (assuredly Shakespearian) dialogue and going directly to the good parts. And because the success of Sony's PlayStation 2 is greatly attributed to the fact that it was by far the cheapest DVD player in Japan when it launched in 2000, that means the PS2 also has the massive Japanese adult video market to thank, at least in part, for its dominance."

Now sure that came about on it's own, the PS2 was cheaper than the rest of the DVD players. But Sony knows that helped them so they're using it again. Fortunately there probably won't be many retail shops offering the video's to sell from fear of the paretn's complaining. So if nothing else we won't have to endure looking at them while we're shopping for other games.

This information turns me even more against Sony, although Microsoft wasn't mentioned in the article Nintendo was:

"And it's also reasonable to expect that no such content will ever appear on a Nintendo system in any country, as the company strives to maintain a family-friendly image worldwide. So adult UMDs are one thing the PSP has that the competing Nintendo DS, which is currently outselling the PSP, probably never will."

And that, even though I knew it already, keeps me strong for Nintendo. It also shows again that Sony is probably desperate, they can't beleive they lost to Nintendo in the hand-held market (I believe this ii the 10th hand-held console they've beaten (beaten being my own guess) although it was by far the toughest yet) so they're going to try and win through the adult movie market. If that doesn't prove Sony is evil I'm not sure what can.

It is my opinion that Apple, Microsoft, and Nintendo should come together and make the ultimate electronic company. Mac makes the computers, Microsoft disigns the console, and Nintendo pumps out the games and hand-helds ^ _ ^

Ok, so Brian looked over my picture and said this. I don't really understand it..... but hey, no one understands great minds. Let's see..... I got an F- and he said I failed, also something about being more 1337? And he said I had a jack-a-lope, which is not true, then he crossed out all the words he didn't think belonged, making the text "Each day is as want it teh happy! My parent siggnature great day with Powerpets!" Yeah, maybe he has a few words about it, please go to his blogger and find out. It's the Captain Bizzarro's blogger if you'd please click the link on the right side!

Stupid bed.....

I just got finished, well just like a half hour ago, helping my mom build my younger brother's (Kevin) new loft bed thing. It wouldn't have been so bad had a hold not been a third covered in sodder making it impossible for the bolt to fit through the hole, so I had to spend an hour filing it down, then we tried some random bit in a power drill that got stuck because the battery ran out, then once the battery recharged for a half hour or so we got the bit out and just hammered the bolt in since there wasn't much sodder left. It wasn't too bad after that. So yeah 3:30 hours it took us to build that, I'm going to bed soon.....

A few small upgrades!

ok, today I've been updating a few things on my blogger. Making it look a tad nicer, and adding new stuff. Some of the things you'll notice are:

• I added a Chatter Box!
• For those of you that look at my links, you'll notice a lack of "New Post(Clickig here is useless)"
• If you've ever use the "Go to Top" link and not gone anywhere, you should beable to get moving today!
• and for those of you with slow loading times there is no >$BlogName$< (or whatever) at the top.

That's about it for the updates, at least those are the ones I can remember.

Just remember! This site looks best when rendered in or like Internet Explorer! ^_^

Proselytize!

Proselytize is a cool sounding word! I think I need to use it in a sentence sometime too.... I could really use it too which is weird! and cool!

I remember coming across that word during my relentless studies for the spelling bee.

Ok, this was supposed to be first!

Today, I went and helped a builder from my church clean out a house site. I got to sweep up saw dust! Wet saw dust is teh most 3vil of all 3vil.... I got $40, though I think I was worth more like $30 if not $20, since I wasn't very good at sweeping and took 6:30 hours.... oh well, I'm really tired and I think it's making the rest of my day not so great.

Two in one day, amazing.

I think I'm falling back into my pit of blahness, where I don't really feel like doing anything. Maybe it's just because I'm tired, but really I don't feel like doing anything I normaly do, like RP on Xet, or make siggys, or play Gunbound, or anything.... So if I seem blahish, you'll know why.

zeke_of_colorado: we had a pool party for the Sophomore class last night, see
PakAttack161: like pool water, or pool balls?
zeke_of_colorado: so afterwards he found this miniskirt
zeke_of_colorado: and put it on over his pants
zeke_of_colorado: pool water
zeke_of_colorado: so he went around
zeke_of_colorado: and asked the girls if it was theirs
zeke_of_colorado: and then they're like "Yes! That's Julia's!"
zeke_of_colorado: so he's like:
zeke_of_colorado: "Man, now I know why guys don't wear miniskirts. they don't even come to the bottom of the middle of my pants!"
zeke_of_colorado: and Julia says "Well, yeah"
zeke_of_colorado: so he takes the miniskirt off and gives it to her
zeke_of_colorado: and we all had a good time
